Yes, systemd has been implemented by default in Rasbian, Jessie flavor, to the disappointment of many Rpi aficionados used to deal with sysvinit.
However sysvinit is also still supported.

As far as I can see, my system is running OK right now.
PVoutput is also OK running with the 123solar 1.6.8. version.
Why would I have to use another image ?

Raspbian Jessie which use systemd as standard
