Update Process for 1.6.9.4

Post by GaryT » Sun Jul 30, 2017 2:15 pm

Hello,
What is the update process for this version? Is is just a matter of stopping Nginx & php-fpm, copying the new php files into the web area, and then restarting php-rpm & nginx. Or is there more to it than that?

Thanks,

Gary

ah, yes, thank you Jeanmarc, that makes it much easier. Update done, hopefully tomorrow once the sun returns it will be working as normal. Of interest, I first updated Archlinux before trying to update 123solar and that turned 123Solar off and I was presented with the Admin log-in which threw me because I couldn't remember what the user-id and password are. I assume that is the correct order to do the update because the system would have been developed and tested against updated versions of php & nginx.

Thanks again,

Gary

Yes it is wise to update your whole system before and to not forget your password ;)

Did you installed 123solar in your server base directory, like /srv/http instead of /srv/http/123solar/ ?

that's ok, maybe you've extracted 123solar as root. What is you webserver's user ? (may check on debug)
You can then, chown -R http:http /var/www//123solar/
