123Solar cannot find aurora after upgrade

Post by mak77 » Thu Mar 12, 2015 5:00 pm

Hi, after upgrading from 1.5.5 to 1.6.5.8, 123solar cannot find "aurora" anymore, the debug logging reports:
sh: 1: aurora: not found

Note I'm using lighttpd, everything else works properly, permissions on aurora look correct...
Any idea? Thank you for any help.

Hi,
It mean aurora isn't available for the 'http' user. Did you chmod a+x /usr/local/bin/aurora ?

yes I did that, though the server is running as www-data user, not http.
also sudo -u www-data /usr/local/bin/aurora works

request that simple php test page in a browser:

Code: Select all

<?php
$CMD = shell_exec('aurora');
echo $CMD;
?>

It doesn't echo anything.
in the shell it works :(

If I add 2>&1 I see "sh: 1: aurora: not found"
shell_exec("/usr/local/bin/aurora") works

So, it looks like something wrong with the PATH env for the www-data user? /etc/profile has the right path though :(

yep, if I shell_execute('set') I see the path is missing user/local/bin/
No idea why

For now I solved the problem by creating a symlink in usr/bin/aurora pointing to /usr/local/bin/aurora.
I still don't have a clear idea why the path differs in lighttpd when the www-data has the right path.
