Temperature

Post by piombo » Sat Oct 18, 2014 10:33 am

123solar now works on my rasperry/SMA (had troubles with the config-file/directories).
- (Sometimes there is an error that there is no data to export (still "investigating") and there is "0" displayed - don't know why - minutes later it starts working again (also SBFspot doesn't provide data at that time).)
- the temperature of the inverter does not appear in the visualisation (and I think nor in the exported data). When I run SBFspot -cfgxxx -v there is a temp shown. - Is there a possibility to get this data into 123solar?

Thanks - really appreciate your work!

Hi,

It seem like the 123s option in SBFspot don't return the temperature. The protocol scripts say

$INVT = $array[12]; // Inverter temperature - n/a for SMA inverters
$BOOT = $array[13]; // Booster temperature - n/a for SMA inverters

You may check the 12th and 13th row value, if they're empty or not. The first row is the date and count for the 0th. I don't own a SMA, i can't test ;)

Yes, array[12] and [13] are "0.000".
Are there changes made on the 123s-option in sbfspot? Is it possible that reading out temperature becomes part of that script?

probably, but you have to request that to the SBFspot guy :)

See also same thread in codeplex SBFspot discussions.

Posted a HowTo there this morning as there is no modification to make in 123Solar.

I had designed SMAspot-to-123Solar from the ground to include the SMA inverter temperature. But SMAspot (2.06 at that time) didn't support the data channel yet. The last line of code was therefore left incomplete.

It is really as simple as completing 1 line of code in SBFspot csvexport.cpp and rebuilding the application.

Luc (SBF) was also contacted. He will add the modification to the next official release of SBFspot
