ok, it looks good.
Please enable 123s debug (and restart), check and report data/invt1/sma_daemon.err and data/123solar.err files.

Here is the output in 123solar.err

DoStartDeviceDetection asyc ...
Wait for GetDeviceHandles 0
Wait for GetDeviceHandles 0

data/invt1/sma_daemon.err does not exist

Did you enable 'daemon' in inverter config protocol ?

Hi Jeanmarc,

Thanks a lot for your persistent help, it is much appreciated. :D

It turned out the problem is - "www-data" did not have full permissions to both read and write the USB. I started seeing data on the 123solar page immediately I granted permissions.

Thanks once again.

Best Regards,
Olu

So 123solar still not calling 485solar because it does not start up automatically in the morning. Here are my observations so far:

1) I can manually start in the morning and 123solar detects sunset and sleeps (but never wakes) - I chose the correct latitude/longitude
2) The infos/event log shows "123solar asleep" but the dashboard shows "123 running".
3) I looked at the /dev/shm/123s_MEMORY.json and noticed ""awake":true" even at dark after ""123solar asleep" is already logged to infos/events. It appears "awake" has to be false in this file for 123solar to wake up automatically in the morning.

My plan is to edit the file to "awake":false" at night just to be sure that is the reason it's not waking up. If that works, I can then confirm why the last update to the json file did not do this automatically when it was going to sleep.

Is this the right approach to resolve this or does anyone on here have a better solution I can try?

Thanks,
Leye

Stupid question: Did you use the lastest version ? (1.7.2)
Did you set a correct timezone ?

Yes I am using version 1.7.2 and yes I am using correct time zone.

$DTZ='America/Chicago';
$LATITUDE=30.464;
$LONGITUDE=-97.641;

I ran a stand alone test to print sunrise, sunset and "now" times and I can confirm "now" eventually becomes greater than sunrise just after sunrise but remains less than sunset till sunset.

Thanks
