MeterN & Pvoutput

Post by TonyP62 » Sun Dec 10, 2017 5:30 pm

Hello dear Jean-Marc.
It's possible to add into MeterN one pvoutput updater without 123Solar ?
We are testing a new SDM driver that can read directly from our SDM Meters. We have 1 SDM for Production and 1 SDM for Consumption. We don't need 123Solar. We want to run only MeterN, but we desire to update Production and Consumption into pvoutput site. It' possible ?
Can you help us ?

Hi Tony,
No, i don't want to merge 123solar and meterN. 123s have many options dedicated for inverters, i don't want to encumbered mN with that.

I haven't got much time sorry. Check the PVoutput API, it's simple to feed.

Hi Jean-Marc, is this merger completely out of question or are you simply too overburdened to do something like this right now?

Before starting meterN, i have deeply thought about making 123solar more "open". I considere it was the best option to make another project. I like to keep things as simple as possible but when you wider possibilities there a paradox ;)
meterN is design for metering meters, it can't be really use as a meteological station. If i where to use sensors for that, i would use another more appropriate application.
